Introduction
: Some people are abused and molested today because they are ignorant of their identity in Christ: Identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is, why Christ is the a title derived from the Greek word christos, which translates the Hebrew term meshiah (Messiah), meaning “the anointed one.” In the contemporary world if you are not well informed about the constitution of a place (your rights as stipulated by the law, you are likely to be abused in one way or the other).
Our constitution as believers is the word of God (the Bible). Devil and its agents will harass, torment and overcome us if we are not rooted in the word of God. Let’s read through Psalms 119:9,11,18,105&130

NOTE. We that are born again believers are a chosen generation. A generation that has been set free from the bondage of sin. We were called out by GOD’s spirit, washed by the blood of the lamb, cleansed from all wickedness & impurities to become a holy people, peculiar people, separated from this world to a purpose of GOD’s elected
The word “generation” is derived from the root-word “gene.” A gene is the basic unit of heredity in a living organism. Genes hold the information that build and maintain an organism’s cells, and pass genetic traits from parent to offspring. They determine the physical, mental, and other characteristics an individual inherits from his parents.
When God describes you as “a chosen generation,” it means you belong to a new class of supermen with divine genetic material! Notice the emphasis on “gene” in the word generation. You have God’s “DNA in you. No wonder the Bible in Romans 8:37 says we are more than conquerors, meaning your lineage is one of champions and victors. No generational curse, sickness, or disease can work against you, or destroy you, because you’re a new creation. You have new genes that came from your heavenly Father.
God has never made a failure; that He gave birth to you means you’re a success. Sickness, poverty, disease, death, and defeat are not a part of your divine “DNA” This is the reason Jesus died; to produce a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, a holy nation – a new class of being. You belong in that new class, and it’s the superior race of supermen in Christ
You are a royal priesthood

NOTE: At first every man was his own priest, and presented his own sacrifices before God. Afterwards that office devolved on the head of the family, as in the cases of Noah ( Genesis 8:20 ), Abraham ( 12:7 ; 13:4 ), Isaac ( 26:25 ), Jacob ( 31:54 ), and Job ( Job 1:5 ).
The name first occurs as applied to Melchizedek (Genesis 14:18 ). Under the Levitical arrangements the office of the priesthood was limited to the tribe of Levi, and to only one family of that tribe, the family of Aaron. Certain laws respecting the qualifications of priests are given in Leviticus 21:16-23 . There are ordinances also regarding the priests’ dress (Exodus 28:40-43 ) and the manner of their consecration to the office ( 29:1-37 ).
In religion, a prophet is an individual who is regarded as being in contact with a divine being and is said to speak on that entity’s behalf, serving as an intermediary with humanity by delivering messages or teachings from the supernatural source to other people.
Who is a prophet?
A prophet is God’s messenger. S/he speaks the voice of God to people. God speaks through Him.
Det 18:18: I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Jer 1:5: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
God creates, sanctifies and anoints a prophet before His birth but a prophet does not immediately start his/her ministry. God has appointed time for each of His prophets for the ministry.
You are a holy nation

NOTE: To be holy means that you are without blemish, without sin and without any stain. According to Pastor E. A. Adeboye holiness means simple obedience.
1Pet. 1:15 & 16 says ‘But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy’
Holiness is a must for any child of God because, like father like son-since our father is holy we also must be holy

NOTE: This word can be used to describe something or someone that “belongs exclusively to some person, group, or thing”. The original meaning of the Greek words translated “peculiar” in 1 Peter 2:9 is indeed what is meant in this passage
What this passage is communicating is that Christians or believers are people who belong to God, they are His own possession. Another way of saying it is that believers are “God’s own special people.”
Peculiar in this verse is referring to fact that believers are a “special people” because they were chosen from before the foundation of the earth to be “God’s own possession.” Those who are born again are different from the world around them because they are being transformed by the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Also they are different because, having been born again by the Spirit of God and believing in Christ for salvation, they have received “the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). While it is true that believers are different, it is the believers’ standing as the adopted children of God, joint heirs with Christ Jesus, and God’s own special people that make us “peculiar.”
Conclusion: you cannot dress, talk or behave like others again because, you carry the DNA of God.
Say this over and over again ‘I carry the DNA of God, sin cannot have power over me again’
